Cookie Policy
The shortest one we could write, and we tried.
This site sets no cookies. Not first-party ones, not third-party ones, not the kind that expire on Tuesday and not the kind that follow you to another website. There are none.
There is also no analytics, no advertising tracker, and no invisible pixel counting who read what. hytimes.com shows you a newspaper and asks nothing of your browser in return.
Because we store nothing on your device, there is no banner for you to click, no preferences for you to manage, and nothing whatsoever for you to consent to. If a banner asking about cookies ever appears on this site, treat it as a forgery.
Should a cookie ever become genuinely necessary — to remember a setting you asked us to remember, say — we will tell you what it does in plain English before we set it, and we will not set it to sell you anything or to report you anywhere.
Questions go to privacy@hytimes.com, which is also where our full privacy policy lives, for the reader who finds this one suspiciously brief.
We are told this is the shortest cookie policy on the Internet. We have not checked, on the grounds that checking would mean visiting the others.
