The Paper

Contact the Newsroom

The paper is easiest to reach the plain ways — a note, a letter, a knock at the door.

News tips

Something happening that we ought to see? Write to tips@hytimes.com. If it is happening on the Boulevard, we would like to know before the Boulevard does. Tips can be anonymous; the useful ones usually are not, but we understand the ones that are.

Letters to the Editor

We print letters from readers, and we read all of them. Send yours to letters@hytimes.com. Keep it under 250 words, sign it with your real name and your neighborhood, and expect to be edited for length and clarity — never for the fact that you disagree with us. June Maravich, who runs the letters page, calls the job refereeing a hundred-year argument the neighborhood is having with itself. She welcomes your entry into it.

Visit us

The newsroom is at 6157 Selma Avenue, Hollywood, California 90028 — a short walk from the Boulevard and a shorter one from the coffee that keeps it running. The front door sticks; push firmly, and someone will hear you.

The newsroom telephone is (323) 141-2500. Longtime readers — and the switchboard, which has never entirely retired — still reach us atHOllywood-4571.

Archive requests
